Starting this Saturday, “The Dave Ramsey Show” joins the NewsTalk 1540 WYCL lineup, airing each Saturday and  Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.

Nearly 25 years ago, Dave began his radio show in Nashville a few years after climbing out of personal bankruptcy. In order to understand Dave’s passion and sincerity, to understand the intimate connection he makes with each listener, you need to know his story. This story is what drives him to put on the radio headset every day. The goal? To provide a real, authentic, and life-changing message.

America’s “truth detector” is now Larry Elder. and he hosts 6pm to 9pm ET weekdays on News Talk 1540.  After 20 years leading the way in Los Angeles on KABC, Larry joined Salem Media Group,  and in April 2016 SRN re-launched his nationally syndicated radio show.    Larry was originally syndicated by the ABC Radio Network from 2002 to 2007, before joining the Salem Radio Network.  Known as “the Sage from South Central” Larry is unafraid to take on liberals and the Black Lives Matter movement with common sense.

Larry graduated from Michigan University Law School and later practiced law,  before being discovered by SRN host Dennis Prager who recommended him as a host to the legendary George Green,  the General Manager at KABC.  The rest is history.

Larry says his philosophy is to entertain, inform, provoke and “to hopefully uplift.” His calling card is “we have a country to save,” and to him this means returning to the bedrock Constitutional principles of limited government and maximum personal responsibility. Larry added, “I see the Constitution as a contract that restrains the federal government, leaving everything else to the states and to the people.” As for those who need help, Larry says, “It’s the moral responsibility of the people, not the federal government, to assist. Compassion is our job, not the Feds.”

Larry is a New York Times best-selling author of four books, including his latest “A Lot Like Me: A Father and Son’s Journey to Reconciliation.” His national TV show “Moral Court” was syndicated across the country and was at one time top rated in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago.  He won a Los Angeles Emmy for “Best News Special” in 1999, and in 2015 was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

“I am thrilled and delighted to be joining the Salem Radio Network. What a great time to be on the radio, helping listeners make sense of one of the craziest election cycles we have ever seen,” added Larry. He says, “The question is not which party has my back, but which party can get government off our back–so that we might all realize our God given capabilities.”

Colin Cowherd joins News Talk 1540 daily from Noon – 3 p.m., as one of the most thought-provoking sports hosts in the country, joining FOX Sports in September 2015 as a television, radio and digital personality.

Cowherd’s three-hour sports talk program, THE HERD WITH COLIN COWHERD, airs simultaneously on FS1 and the FOX Sports Radio Network on weekdays. THE HERD is also available on www.FOXSportsRadio.com, www.FOXSports.com and has a dedicated iHeartRadio station, available live and throughout the day.

Cowherd also appears on FOX NFL KICKOFF, the Sunday morning NFL pregame show leading into FOX NFL SUNDAY, and contributes to coverage of many of FOX Sports’ marquee events.

THE HERD: THE EARLY YEARS Cowherd was host of ESPN Radio’s “The Herd with Colin Cowherd,” airing nationally weekdays and simulcast on ESPNU. Before joining ESPN, Cowherd hosted a popular three-hour morning drive program, “The Herd,” at KFXX 910-AM in Portland, Ore.

BEYOND THE HERD

Cowherd also hosted “Colin’s New Football Show” on ESPN2 in 2013 and 2014, in addition to a variety of programs on ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPN Classic. He was the original co-host of “SportsNation” on ESPN2. Cowherd joined ESPN Radio in 2004 when his program launched as an hour-long broadcast on the West Coast. He also anchored weeknight sports and Sports Sunday for KGW Northwest NewsChannel 8. Cowherd’s rise in the industry also includes serving as sports anchor at Tampa’s WTVT-TV, where he received a local Sports Emmy for “Buc Sunday,” and as sports director at KVBC-TV in Las Vegas, where he earned multiple Nevada Sportscaster of the Year awards. He began his career as the play-by-play voice for the Pacific Coast League’s Las Vegas Stars baseball team.

BEYOND RADIO & TV

In 2013, Cowherd’s first book, “You HERD Me!” was a “New York Times” bestseller, spending five weeks on the list in hardcover. His second book, “Raw: My 100% Grade-A, Unfiltered, Inside Look at Sports,” was released in October 2015. In August 2015, Rogue Ales & Spirits, based in Newport, Ore., partnered with Cowherd to release “Blunt N’ Bitter” microbrew – the official beverage of Cowherd and THE HERD.

A native of Grayland, Wash., Cowherd graduated in 1985 from Eastern Washington University, where he got his broadcasting start. He resides in Los Angeles with his wife, Ann, and has two children.
